A sensitive refurbishment on a luxury mansion block designed by Sir Gilbert Scott.
Client name: Gilbert Scott (Whitelands) Management Ltd
Construction Value: £150,000
Project Type: Interior fit-out
Contract Type: JCT Minor Works
Savoy Construction was appointed by Gilbert Scott Management for the refurbishment of the communal areas in a luxury mansion block in Putney. The building was fully occupied during the works so access to the building at all time was required. Access was also provided to both the library and the gym. A key feature of the renovation was the installation of approx. 400m2 of parquet flooring.
A really interesting project, particularly as the building was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, a famous architect who also designed the façade of the Battersea Power Station and the red telephone box.
“Savoy Construction was a delight to work with. They provided safe and clean access for our residents at all times. They had a tremendous amount of attention to detail, which was critical for the installation of the parquet flooring which was a feat they achieved with ease”.
