Haileybury College is an independent and boarding co-education school for 11-18 year olds, dating back to 1862.
Savoy Construction was appointed on two phases to undertake a major refurbishment to their student accommodation and both phases were dependent on a fast track solution during the summer months.
Phase 1 (summer 2016): Refurbishment of 104 rooms across two blocks. All works were undertaken in just 8 weeks.
Phase 2 (summer 2017): Refurbishment of 117 rooms across two blocks. All works were undertaken in just 9 weeks.
In both phases, works included the remodelling of the rooms, replacement of floor finishes, general redecoration, electrical enhancements and the installation of new purpose-built furniture.
For the communal areas, in phase 1, works included the installation of new kitchens, bathrooms, electrical enhancements, replacement of floor finishes and decorations throughout. For phase 2, works to the communal areas included electrical enhancements, replacement of floor finishes and decorations throughout.
“Following the successful completion of phase 1, we had no doubt as to the quality of service Savoy Construction could deliver, so we appointed them to phase 2. We and our students are delighted with the result”.
